User research requires a certain level of empathy for user pain points and goals. Usability testing helps identify these factors and provides the opportunity to discover ways to improve user experience. Understanding user needs and goals, observing interactions,
and creating solutions are what I enjoy most about user experience.

After a heuristic evaluation of Dutch Bro’s website, a usability test
was created and executed based on findings from the evaluation.
Testing the participants allowed me to study their behavior and document their experiences. The formulation of specific recommendations was derived from analyzing observations from
the usability test.

 

Putting myself in the users’ shoes was key to understanding their needs, goals, and emphasized the importance of empathy in design.
