Organizations need a content strategy to ensure the content they are creating and publishing is meaningful, engaging, and drives business goals while meeting the needs of their target audience.

Dog-n-Kitty City is an animal shelter and their content was the focus of this analysis. Publication frequency, information challenges, content fitness, and social media presence were some of the factors considered when evaluating the shelter’s content.

 

Each category was appraised for how effectively it satisfied the needs of the target audience. A comparison of other shelters’ content provided insight into field-specific best practices.

 

The analysis and comparisons were used to develop specific recommendations for how the shelter could improve its content to better suit its audience.
